Because when there is an influx of spam comments, there is <B><I>AN INFLUX OF SPAM COMMENTS<\/i><\/b>.  And it&#8217;s nice to not have to worry about dozens&#8230;or hundreds&#8230;of useless shit because somebody needs a fucking hobby.<\/p>\n<p>When things hit the spam file, I&#8217;ll peruse them to make sure something legitimate didn&#8217;t get caught, and probably 95% of what&#8217;s there is just utter gibberish.  But then there are a few gems that make me giggle for a moment before I do a mass delete of all the stupidity.<\/p>\n<p><b>#<\/b> A few weeks ago a comment told me that my post about <b><a href=\"https:\/\/www.getalifebooks.com\/blog\/2011\/10\/storm-door\/\" title=\"Storm Door\">the storm door falling apart<\/a><\/b> &#8220;really cheered [them] up.&#8221;<\/p>\n<p>Well, friend, that is exactly why I wrote it.<\/p>\n<p><b>#<\/b> One shortly after that told me, [sic] &#8220;I was rellay confused, and this answered all my questions.&#8221;  And upon seeing which post it was in reference to (<b><a href=\"https:\/\/www.getalifebooks.com\/blog\/2011\/02\/conversations-in-geek-love-halo-world\/\" title=\"Halo World!\">Halo, World!<\/a><\/b>) I became confused.<\/p>\n<p>Because conversations between Bob and Sara regarding <s>anything<\/s> <b><a href=\"http:\/\/www.roosterteeth.com\/\" title=\"Red Vs Blue\">Red Vs Blue<\/a><\/b> are bound to confuse anybody not &#8220;answer all [their] questions.&#8221;<\/p>\n<p><b>#<\/b> What made me giggle most recently was this: &#8220;Hey There. I found your blog using msn. This is a very well written article. I will make sure to bookmark it and come back to read more of your useful info. Thanks for the post. I will certainly comeback.&#8221;<\/p>\n<p><i>Well written<\/i> and <i>useful<\/i>.  Ha.  The comment itself was not particularly amusing (though surprisingly coherent) it was what it is in reference to: <b><a href=\"https:\/\/www.getalifebooks.com\/blog\/2011\/02\/corrosive-advertising\/\" title=\"Corrosive Advertising\">Corrosive Advertising.<\/a><\/b>  I suppose anything talking about how <b><i>Proactiv Solution<\/i><\/b> corroded my face off could be considered &#8220;useful&#8221; to people.<\/p>\n<p>Because Proactiv Solution totally corroded my face off.<\/p>\n<p>See also: Dead Horses.<\/p>\n<p>&#8212;<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>The spam filter on the comments is a priceless feature.
