September 1st hit and the internet proclaimed that SUMMER IS OVER<\/i> and IT’S FALL<\/i> and Bitch, it is EIGHTY-SEVEN DEGREES with a heat index of NINETY.<\/p>\n

The forecast keeps claiming the temperature is going to drop and when that time rolls around, the temperature does not drop. When I can turn off the A\/C and the multiple fans for the last time, and open the windows to make it cold in my house, I will believe the season has changed. Last year that was mid-October.<\/p>\n

I just want to be able to use my weighted blanket and not risk heatstroke in my bedroom.<\/p>\n

A.)<\/b> These days I keep most websites zoomed in for larger print because I am middle-aged and shamefully overdue for an eye exam. I just reset the zoom on this website and Jeezey Creezey the font is microscopic on ye olde blog. I really need to update my style sheet. But ech. I don’t even know where to do that anymore because fucking WordPress<\/i> changes its shit every time I need to edit or fix something.<\/p>\n

<\/a>2.)<\/b> Writing feels like it has once again come to a grinding halt. Basil<\/a> has been what-if-ing nonstop and there are plenty of ideas rocketing around, but there’s little more than a few words here and there making it to the page. My brain is stuck on one plot point in particular, but I have no idea what kind of story I could even make out of it. To work properly it would need to cover several years of time and I’m not ready for that kind of undertaking again as the story<\/a><\/b> that has been eating my brain for the last…two? three? years covers more than a decade in the lives of the characters and it really amounts to too much story<\/i> unless you finagle in creative time jumps to make it all happen.<\/p>\n

D.)<\/b> A few weeks ago we went to my cousin’s wedding reception. The next day I got this spam text<\/a><\/b> that actually made me stop for a minute and wonder if it was actually real because the ONE TIME<\/i> we actually go out somewhere, I get a message like this. Is the picture supposed to be the one who wants a taste<\/i>? I’m not used to sexting. I don’t know how this works. If I was interested in fucking with a phisher, I would have responded yew is poisonous, you shouldn’t eat it<\/i>. Instead I just took a screenshot and blocked the number.<\/p>\n

The two pictures in that GIF were taken back to back and yet the lighting is completely different and I am not a competent editor of RAW files so it looks like two different times of day instead of the seconds it took to flip the critter. My [as yet unnamed] little octopus friend is an accurate representation of my mood minute to minute depending on how much internet I make the mistake of consuming.<\/p>\n
