We have forty-five days to closing.

Forty-five days until the house is OURS.

Bob and I are both getting restless and incredibly excited. This last month and a half is going to be both the longest and shortest six weeks of our lives.

We had our professional inspection this week. He walked us through and explained in great detail what he was looking for, and gave us a lot of information about being first-time home buyers. Things he found in the inspection were minor and mostly cosmetic, some we already knew about, some we’d missed on our previous walk-throughs. Nothing we can’t handle fixing on our own after we get moved in.

Now we just need an appraisal and to get through closing and the house is OURS.

I keep planning things out in my head on how to do things. Getting the carpet professionally cleaned, changing the locks, actually moving in.

The house is bank owned and sitting vacant so I plan to give it a thorough cleaning before we actually occupy it.

The most important part, however, is I have already figured out the perfect place for Giant Frog to perch. And it will be awesome.
