Permanent jet lag…

I’ve been listening to a lot of Fall Out Boy. Which feels like it should be a departure from all the Panic! At the Disco I was listening to, but after hearing 20 Dollar Nose Bleed I am just still further convinced that the two bands are practically interchangeable. The first time I heard it, I was distracted by other things until about the middle of the song and finally realized there were two different people singing. When you pay attention Patrick Stump and Brendon Urie clearly sound different, but they are similar enough that my brain just smeared them together into one voice for about a minute and a half.

Also what is this song? It’s all poppy stage musical about amphetamines. Then again, listen to any song by either band and the question arises, “WHAT IS THIS SONG?”

But now that I’ve expanded my library beyond just their one album I’ve had since 2005, I now get a medley of their songs drumming through my head 24/7 instead of just Sugar We’re Goin’ Down on constant repeat.

Anyway.

I’ve also been playing a lot of Final Fantasy XIV. It’s been one thing I’ve been able to focus on and actually enjoy the past several months, which is nice because (A) we pay a lot of money to play it and (2) I need to be doing something I like because I’m not writing more than a sentence every few days.

It doesn’t look like much, but seeing these levels on all the different jobs makes me feel somewhat accomplished considering I’ve barely played anything other than the Summoner job the entire time I’ve been playing the game. Because CARBUNCLES. But then they came out with the Dancer job which I may stick with as my main for the foreseeable future. NO CAST BARS. And then they also locked the Amaro mount behind getting every job to level 80 and goddammit I need the big, goofy-looking bird thing to fly around on.

You heard me.
