I wouldn’t change one thing…

It’s after midnight, which means it’s June 15th. As of the 15th, we have been in our house for a full month now.

It’s been awesome.

We still don’t have a closing date, but we did hear that the “negotiations” had entered another “stage” which typically means that things are getting close. Last week the selling bank sent out two different people to take pictures of the house to do an appraisal of sorts. Most of this short sale talk is still over my head, but as long as we do actually close on this house—talk all the real estate gibberish you want.

I made cookies last week. They only lasted a couple of days. They were good.

I made cheesecake this week. It looked great on the outside. But it didn’t bake long enough so the middle was a little—oozey. It still tasted good. It just didn’t have the cheesecake consistency it should have all the way through. The outer two inches? Turned out great. Next time, I’ll bake it longer.

We bought a ten-pound bag of frozen chicken. We are committing to cooking our own meat now, kids.

I just need to figure out what to do with it.

Season 9 of Red vs. Blue started this week. Oh my heart. I am stoked. STOKED I tell you.

Next week there is a new album coming out from Matt Nathanson and an acoustic album full of “old” songs from Ingram Hill. Hell. Yes.

We bought two big-ass Sumo bean bag chairs. They are navy blue corduroy and they are awesome. We’ve been wanting to get bean bag chairs for a long time. We just never had a place to put them. Since our living room was sitting empty, we filled it up with two bean bag chairs. And they do kind of fill up the room. They’re huge, as they’re meant to fit two people. We have actually ordered real furniture. But that will take anywhere from four to eight weeks to get. So we’ll have the bean bags to tide us over and then probably move them to the loft once our real furniture gets here.

There was…something else…I was going to write about. But I completely lost what it was.

Nothing new.

Hmm.

  1. It makes me so happy to hear all is so great! For your first attempt at cheesecake, thats not bad! I have undercooked cheesecake and overcooked cheesecake which makes it crack, ugh but if its just you eating it who cares, haha takes good still. I read one recipe that says to turn the oven off and let it stay in the oven for 30 mins or so before taking it out, letting it cook a little longer slowly but I havent tried that yet.
    Bob’s a lucky man I say!

Something to say?
