Count the Stars Above…

You are MAGIC!

February. This year is off to a rollicking good start, no? Jesus. Fucking. Christ. If I said what I really want to say, I’d be put on a watch list. There are enough news stories in the past week alone about people getting raided and arrested for mouthing off on the internet. I am so fucking exhausted. Anyway. Is it really just a lead-in to the monthly Last.fm stats if it’s 1200-some-odd words? …) We… Keep reading…Count the Stars Above…

Make it through the winter…

Oh hai.

Well it’s January. Which means it’s time for the annual ICE DAM! Just sitting at my desk, hearing the telltale pat-pat-pat of water dripping from the living room window frame. It hasn’t poured out yet, but I’m sure it’ll happen before its cleared. Now the HOA management company is requiring picture or video proof of the leak, or they won’t send anyone out. This has been the weirdest winter season we’ve had that I can remember. Technology is making me crabby. No, no. More than usual. …) Feedly doesn’t show ALT text for images that don’t load in an RSS feed. So there is no indication that there should be… Keep reading…Just keeps spinning round…

SIXTY-SEVEN DEGREES

March. Okay. It is currently sixty-seven degrees outside. The rest of the week is going to be in the forties, but today I turned the furnace off and opened the windows. Because fresh air. …) We bought a rice cooker. We’ve only used it once, but it was a rousing success, which is unheard of in most first attempt cooking ventures for me. The texture was on par with good Chinese food. I didn’t have… Keep reading…Up for grabs…

It ain’t nothin’ new…

Jinx writes...

…) Every time writing sinks to critical mass for an extended period, my brain starts grappling for some other kind of creative outlet to latch onto. New websites that never see the light of day, new craft projects that won’t get finished, buying new books that won’t get read, filling wishlists on Amazon with things associated with stories that I will never buy. I’ve been tweaking a lot of things behind the scenes with my… Keep reading…It ain’t nothin’ new…
