Made it through…

January. 2024. The Bobs are still recovering from A Very Covid Christmas. Or rather Bob is at about 99% and I’m still lingering around 75%. We don’t know where we caught it from (considering we barely leave the house), but recent information claims incubation is only two or three days so we can pretty much narrow it down to our routine trips to Target and Costco or the grocery store, or the day Bob went… Keep reading…Made it through…

Avoid the Headlines…

Because seriously. … They finally showed up about dinnertime on Sunday to plow our driveway. After it was half melted. Whatever. … It’s snowing. Or it was last I looked out the window. Big, flurrying snowflakes. But it’s too warm for it to accumulate, so at least there’s that. … The giant, messy, two-plus-year road construction project outside our front door has picked up again for the season and they’re going to start tearing out… Keep reading…Avoid the Headlines…

Third, Hunter turned 25 years old in January. As I said, RUDE. … Last weekend marked four months since Joe died. We got together at my parents’ house on Saturday to celebrate my dad’s 80th birthday (the 5th). EIGHTY. Neither of my parents are interested… Keep reading…Move it to the exits…

Plus the unit right next door had a crew out just days ago cleaning a dam off their roof. We’re finally getting into a forecasted long stretch of above-freezing temperatures and all that melting can only lead to one place. Right on schedule yesterday afternoon, water started running out of the… Keep reading…5318008…

Weapon of choice…

September. Week 129. Is it relevant to still count weeks? I don’t know. Whatever. September 1st hit and the internet proclaimed that SUMMER IS OVER and IT’S FALL and Bitch, it is EIGHTY-SEVEN DEGREES with a heat index of NINETY. The forecast keeps claiming the temperature is going to drop and when that time rolls around, the temperature does not drop. When I can turn off the A/C and the multiple fans for the last… Keep reading…Weapon of choice…
