In a winter mood…

April.

We ended up getting somewhere around six inches of snow. Which is really just a guess by looking at the footprints in our driveway from the snow removal guys who walked through it. I didn’t go out there with a ruler or anything. (It also upgraded us to the third snowiest winter on record.)

They came through Saturday afternoon and shoveled the snow off the front steps and away from garage doors (because the plow drivers have bad aim and like to dent said garage doors). Then the truck came through and plowed the street. I watched him clear (and I use that term loosely) the one driveway across the street that didn’t have a car parked in it and then…just fucked right off leaving half a foot of snow in our driveway and the house next door. We went out to pick up dinner and there were several driveways without cars that hadn’t been plowed either. (If you park in your driveway, they won’t shovel or plow for liability reasons.) As of Sunday afternoon they have not come back to finish the job. Bob sent an email to the HOA management company asking What the fuck? (Or probably something more diplomatic. He’s more professional than I am.)

Living in a townhouse development with an HOA that pays [A LOT OF MONEY] for snow removal is a privileged existence, this I am well aware, but is it really too much to ask to do the fucking job you are being paid to do? Yes we own a shovel and could just clear it ourselves, but what are we paying a shitton of money in HOA dues for then? DO YOUR JOB.

Also, I’m pretty sure they blocked the sewer drain at the end of our road again.

Anyroad.

The new Fall Out Boy album came out on the 24th. These numbers do not include the few dozen plays on my phone when I wasn’t parked at my computer. So the count should probably be about double what Last.fm shows.
