It is currently sixty-seven degrees outside.

The rest of the week is going to be in the forties, but today I turned the furnace off and opened the windows.

…) We bought a rice cooker. We’ve only used it once, but it was a rousing success, which is unheard of in most first attempt cooking ventures for me. The texture was on par with good Chinese food. I didn’t have leftover liquid at the end of the cook time. And the leftovers weren’t a rock-solid, dry block the next day. I am not good at cooking rice so I’d say this was $30 well spent.

…) We started watching Farscape again. How can you turn down Jim Henson aliens and pop culture references at every turn?

…) Bob re-upped our Netflix subscription so we could watch the new live action The Last Airbender series. He’s watched the original cartoon but I’d never seen it. I thought the new show was pretty good considering I had nothing to compare it to, and Bob thought they did a decent job with it. Hopefully they’ll get to do the other two seasons as well. We tried watching the live action movie they did years ago. Keyword: TRIED. I had no basis for comparison and thought it was terrible. Bob knew the source material and nope-ed out roughly 20 minutes in. It says a lot about how bad a movie is if Bob quits less than halfway through. He’ll usually stick things out to see if it gets better and that one was a hard no from both of us. We’ve since started watching the cartoon so I can compare the two shows. For a Nickelodeon kids show, it’s pretty good.

…) Jinx decided we needed some new LEGOs so we went shopping.
