Sixteen…

If our marriage was a person, it would be old enough to drive.

Which means in November, our relationship will be old enough to vote.

When everything feels like it’s spiraling far beyond my control, he brings me back to myself, and keeps that last thread of sanity firmly intact.

I took this picture when it was just the two of us wandering around the garden before everyone else arrived for our wedding ceremony. Studying his profile is still one of my favorite things to do.

[Robert.]

He is still my very favorite person in existence.

In equally shocking news, water is wet…

R: Do you have a lot of their music?

S: Just a few songs. This may surprise you, but they’re on the Drive List.

R: That was my assumption. You either own whole albums or just the songs on the Drive List.

S: What, like you know me or something?

R: Yes.

Misty watercolor memories…

R: What is this music you’re listening to?

S: It’s 2AM Club after Ian left the band.

R: Is that the name of the album?

S: Yes. Their second album was called 2AM Club: After Ian Left the Band.

R: It totally sounds like an album title.

S: The album artwork is just pictures of the drummer.

Can’t imagine why…

R: I’M LISTENING TO FALL OUT BOY.

S: Which song?

R: I don’t know…We’re Going Down?

S: Sugar We’re Goin Down.

R: Sure.

R: Suddenly I’m like, “I recognize that song, I hear it all the time.”

S: Hm, that’s weird.

My sole purpose in life…

R: I’m watching Tofu’s stream and he has Panic! playing in the background.

S: Huh. Which song is it?

R: The champagne one.

S: Don’t Threaten Me With a Good Time.

R: Yeah, but what’s the song called?

S: *wink*

R: I wouldn’t have even recognized that song if it wasn’t for you.

S: You’re welcome.

Inspiration is everywhere…

P!atD: Never gonna take us. Never gonna break us.

R: Na-na na-na na na.

S: Do you think he was playing Spyro the Dragon when he wrote this song?

R: I certainly hope so.
