September.

Par for the course lately, the end of September.

People are celebrating the arrival of fall and I’m sitting here in my air conditioned house looking at another week of eighty-some humid degrees, spitting expletives and rude gestures.

FNEH.

Bob’s brother, Tommy, is getting married this weekend. Bob is one of the groomsmen so we are involved and we are both already exhausted from the introverts-out-of-their-cave of it all.

Every time I look at Saturday’s forecast, the temperature keeps climbing and it has jumped up twenty degrees over the course of the last week. Right now the Weather Channel tells me it’s supposed to be eighty-eight degrees on Saturday with a chance of rain somewhere so it will probably be humid and the strapless, underwire bra I’m going to be trapped in for the entire day is already causing me phantom pain. I searched for a dress that would allow me to wear a normal bra, but I couldn’t find anything I actually liked that would fit a stumpy apple with watermelons hanging off the front, so…underwire torture device it is.

We just wrapped up another two weeks of Grand Sumo. The championship match came down to a playoff between the two top ranked wrestlers and it was very exciting. Aside from some Olympic games of years long passed, I have never been so invested in a sporting event and it’s a weird thing. We’re retaining more information, matching more names to faces, and enjoying, enjoying it all together. Now we wait six weeks until the November tournament.

In other news…

I keep falling down MMC rabbit holes on Youtube. There is a channel that has the music performances from Ye Olde MMC. The video quality is that of a worn out VHS, but the nostalgia is strong. Those kids had some powerful voices. A lot of them still do, but they’re all in their forties now. Woof. But it led me to drag out my beloved MMC album.

Still holds up after thirty-two years.
