Maxed out like a credit card…

I’ll continue to be my worst enemy

October.

Something, something, the end of the month.

One day recently we were in the car, and I was singing along to Fall Out Boy, like I do, and in the middle of Hold Me Like a Grudge, Bob asked, “How long did it take you to learn this song*?” Because, in true Patrick Stump fashion, it is a mouthful. That man is incredibly difficult to keep up with, but I have most of that song pretty well nailed. Except the…bridge(?)**. I still haven’t stuck the landing on that part. Even with the lyrics in front of me, it’s still hard to get right.

In other news…

My beloved home architect program has finally crossed over to the dark side of a subscription service instead of a perpetual license. And if that wasn’t bad enough, they consolidated three separate tiers of the program into one, and for the version I use, that means a 600% price increase for ONE YEAR OF SERVICE. I put a lot of hours into that program, but I don’t put $300 FOR ONE YEAR AS AN INTRODUCTORY PRICE into it. So I’ll be keeping my 2025 version to run into the ground until Windows no longer runs it or Chief Architect shuts down their registration server, like other companies have done, so I can’t transfer it to a different computer. (*cough*fucking Adobe*cough*)

I have a much longer expletive-laden tirade about it all, but we’ll leave it at that.

Anyroad.

It’s Halloween…ish…so it’s time for the annual viewing of Witch’s Night Out. (It’s on Tubi.)

Jinx and her new buddy will be dancing to the theme song while they bring in the monthly Last.fm stats.

I’m just a cherub riding comets through the night sky
Screaming at the stars like night lights
And I love my life, love my life
Running middle fingers through the red lights
And I guess I’m getting older ’cause I’m less pissed
When I can’t get onto the guest list
To the end of the world, the end of the world
Fever-dream tangerine sweat
When I get down, down
Silent killers are these years coming like waves

I thought I knew better, I thought it would get better
I figured somehow by now, I would have got it together
And if you put your, put your heart in it, heart in it
Then we’ll do more than just get by together, yeah
Call you up and demand, you have no fun without me
I’m like a storm on the horizon, storm on the horizon
