Up…

I just finished a play-through of Dragon Age II. While making some drastically different choices, the outcome was pretty much the same as the last play-through. Quite unlike the first game. Bioware…you could have done better with that.

I should be heading to bed. It’s two in the morning. But I’m not quite feeling tired enough to sleep just yet.

It feels very strange sitting up in the middle of the night on my computer and not having Bob sleeping in the same room. Having office space separate from my bedroom is a whole different animal that is taking some getting used to, but I love it. And I don’t have to worry about disturbing my husband with my insomniac activities.

My hand is bruised across the knuckles from smashing it into the doorframe while carrying a laundry basket. The doorway into the closet is narrower than every other doorway and the laundry basket was packed and heavy. And I am just that good. Smash. Pain. Dear GOD PAIN. The bruise is not visible, but damn I can feel it whenever I put any sort of pressure on the area.

I did laundry in my new [to me] laundry facilities. I had to buy new laundry soap because this machine can only use “high efficiency, low-suds” soap made for front-loading washers. We have a closet-like laundry room with a stackable washer and dryer. It has doubled the number of loads of laundry I’ll have to do because of the small capacity. But they are MINE. And I DON’T HAVE TO SHARE THEM.

For dinner tonight (last night?) I experimented with soup using a Knorr vegetable soup mix base and then I made Jello for tomorrow (today?). I am so freaking domestic. I am earning that housewife title dammit.

My poor Bob is sick with what appears to be a cold. I hope it’s just a cold. I don’t like it when my Bear is sick.

We are foregoing cable because we never watch TV. If there’s anything we do watch it’s online. And the Comcast bill was up to $250 a month for no fathomable reason other than the fact that Comcast is a fucking criminal organization. So we bought an antenna. And there are channels that I had no idea existed beyond the basic 8 network channels of the days of old. Back when I had my 13-inch black and white TV that couldn’t even be hooked to cable or a VCR.

Bob is taking Friday off for an extended holiday weekend. We might go furniture shopping. If we can arse ourselves out of the house. We might get lazy and sloth around the Bear Cave instead.

Something to say?
