Oh Spam…

The spam filter on the comments is a priceless feature. Because when there is an influx of spam comments, there is AN INFLUX OF SPAM COMMENTS. And it’s nice to not have to worry about dozens…or hundreds…of useless shit because somebody needs a fucking hobby.

When things hit the spam file, I’ll peruse them to make sure something legitimate didn’t get caught, and probably 95% of what’s there is just utter gibberish. But then there are a few gems that make me giggle for a moment before I do a mass delete of all the stupidity.

# A few weeks ago a comment told me that my post about the storm door falling apart “really cheered [them] up.”

Well, friend, that is exactly why I wrote it.

# One shortly after that told me, [sic] “I was rellay confused, and this answered all my questions.” And upon seeing which post it was in reference to (Halo, World!) I became confused.

Because conversations between Bob and Sara regarding anything Red Vs Blue are bound to confuse anybody not “answer all [their] questions.”

# What made me giggle most recently was this: “Hey There. I found your blog using msn. This is a very well written article. I will make sure to bookmark it and come back to read more of your useful info. Thanks for the post. I will certainly comeback.”

Well written and useful. Ha. The comment itself was not particularly amusing (though surprisingly coherent) it was what it is in reference to: Corrosive Advertising. I suppose anything talking about how Proactiv Solution corroded my face off could be considered “useful” to people.

Because Proactiv Solution totally corroded my face off.
