Always second guessing…

1.) I’ve lost eight pounds since I started taking the full dose of medication. I have absolutely no appetite and putting food in my mouth makes me physically gag. I don’t remember much of anything from the first time I started taking Topamax and Prozac, but I’m pretty sure I would remember if it had made me feel like absolute crap 24/7. It didn’t kill my appetite like this though. I lost all the weight long before I switched to these meds. My next appointment is Thursday. The new psychiatrist and I are going to have a lot to talk about.

2.) At some point last week I started getting weird things happening with my vision when I wake up in the morning. It doesn’t last long. It usually clears up once the haze of sleep goes away and I’m more alert. I’m thinking it’s from the Trazodone. But whatever it is, it’s disturbing as hell and it’s on the list of Shit I’m Not Happy About.

3.) Last week we had 40 degree temperatures. This week is single digits again. Except the one day I have to leave the house. That day the high is going to be negative degrees. Because of course it is.

4.) Got the bill for my first psychiatrist appointment. I’ll say it again. Because it bears repeating. I hate Federated Insurance.

5.) The tingling and buzzing in my fingers is at its worst after a shower and when I go out in the cold. So when I go out in the cold shortly after a shower, it doesn’t stop for a few hours even if my hands are warm. We went grocery shopping after Bob got home from work yesterday and by the time we got home, it was so bad my fingers were almost completely numb to the touch. This is a whole new extreme I did not have the first time around.

6.) Bob is getting over a head cold. Which means that with the way February has been going for me, I can expect it to hit me by the time my appointment rolls around later in the week. Or rather, I’m pretty sure with the all-out revolt happening in my sinus cavity today, it’s invading as we speak.

7.) Expletives and rude gestures.

  1. If you forget what you need to talk to your Dr about, just pull this up. These are worth mentioning. Especially the buzzy hands and vision issues.
Good luck. I hope you find the right solution soon.

Something to say?
