Just moments moving sideways…

June.

Summer.

FEH.

…) We held out until Memorial Day to turn on the A/C. It had been in the 80’s for several days in a row, but the humidity never seemed to get above 25% and the nights still dropped into the 50’s so the house did not feel like a sweltering hellscape. The humidity was still low when we flipped the switch, but it was 85 degrees outside and that was going to be the coolest day in the forecast. Now it has been consistently mid-to-high 80’s and the humidity has been creeping up, despite the complete lack of rain. After record snowfall and flooding, we’re now already in drought territory. Mech.

…) I am 100% done with road construction shaking and vibrating my house. We still have our 45-degree angle dirt ramp to get out of our development. It’s difficult to tell with everything torn to hell, but it looks like they’re making our road narrower and instead of a nice retaining wall with landscaping up to the main road like we had, it’s just a poured concrete wall that looks like all of the new bridge abutments they’ve constructed around here.

…) My heart nonsense seems to be mostly resolved, but I still get a hard jolt every so often that stops me in my my tracks to remind me something is off. I don’t know if upping the dose of my BP meds has made the difference, or if it’s just a coincidence that symptoms have lessened. The new fun game is deciphering if the random bouts of dizziness/lightheadedness are the result of a too low BP/heart rate or just the normal bullshit my head likes to pull out at inopportune times. I check my pulse every time it happens and it’s always at least in the 60’s. It goes away so fast and I don’t have any other symptoms, so I don’t think things are dropping too low. Or if they are, they’re not staying that way for more than a few seconds. (And if that is the case…has it been the case my entire life?)

…) Basil is still off on sabbatical somewhere, but he sends the occasional whatif postcard that doesn’t get me very far. I was mulling over an idea and then went too deep into irrelevant backstory and derailed the whole thing before I even came up with a cryptic code name for it. I keep circling a pair of specific characters, but finding the right story for them to play in has been a fruitless venture. The lack of writing is really grating on my brain and I do not like it.

…) Matchbox Twenty released a new album. It sounds like a Matchbox Twenty album and the boys still write solid songs. Rob Thomas still sounds great. There’s a track with Kyle Cook singing lead. No Other Love is current front runner for favorite. MB20 was a band Bob and I had in common when we met and it was our first concert we went to together. They will always have a squishy place in my music obsessed heart.

May was a very Killers heavy month until the new MB20 album came out right at the end. But then there was also a new Final Fantasy XIV content patch so…

If only I could get Last.fm to track the music playing in the game.

  1. Do you have a Fitbit, or something similar, to track your heart rate?
I wonder if you aren’t dealing with POTS or something like it, with the dizziness/lightheadedness. It would track with your thyroid stuff.

Something to say?
