Just moments moving sideways…

June. Summer. FEH. …) We held out until Memorial Day to turn on the A/C. It had been in the 80’s for several days in a row, but the humidity never seemed to get above 25% and the nights still dropped into the 50’s so the house did not feel like a sweltering hellscape. The humidity was still low when we flipped the switch, but it was 85 degrees outside and that was going to… Keep reading…Just moments moving sideways…

Straight into the ground…

… Minnesota Weather Update: It hasn’t snowed in over a week now. The lawn service guys were out doing their preliminary spring cleanup, which is usually a sign that it’s not going to snow anymore. We’ve finally had weather warm enough again to open the windows, but it was raining so I still couldn’t open the windows. Third, Hunter turned 25 years old in January. As I said, RUDE. … Last weekend marked four months since Joe died. We got together at my parents’ house on Saturday to celebrate my dad’s 80th birthday (the 5th). EIGHTY. Neither of my parents are interested… Keep reading…Move it to the exits…

Just setting a trap…

I still don’t like February. The last post was supposed to be the lead-in to the monthly Last.fm stats, but it turned in a direction I didn’t anticipate and dumping meaningless numbers at the end of it just felt stupid. But now I can fill up another page with things I thought I was going to write about last time. … I was looking at the calendar, wondering why the 13th was standing out as… Keep reading…Just setting a trap…

Time on my hands…

January. 2023. Alright then. Joe has been gone two months already. It still feels impossible. Maybe it always will. In lieu of more depressing grief talk for the moment, I’m going to talk about snow and other innocuous things. Hey, guess what? … It has been blizzard-ing for two days. We are now far above average for snowfall so far this winter so that’s good news for the gawd-awful drought we’ve been in. However, it’s… Keep reading…Time on my hands…
